Hello, my name is Maria Delgado but most people call me Mariyuh. I’m 18 years old and I’m from Southern California, San Diego and imperial valley county. I’m currently a freshman in college at UC riverside in California and I’m majoring in Political science administrative studies with a minor in public policy. After, dealing with the loss of a close relative and friend due to cancer I was motivated to fight and support those who are also battling breast cancer or cancer in general. Which is what inspired me to study public policy and political science hoping I can have a bigger impact in the future in the cancer community. I came to the conclusion that I had to take action. Leading to my project , which consisted of informing local community leaders of the lack of support and information for those who have battled and are currently battling cancer. As well as, informing my local community , and supporting those who are still fighting cancer by either sending motivational letters or suppling them with essentials such as hand sanitizers and masks. Working with a team who has the same objective as me is definitely an honor and has pushed me on this journey. I look forward to more projects!

Hi there!! I’m Claire Lankford from the state of Georgia and I’m 15 years old. I work and advocate alongside The Cure Campaign in my state. We collaborated and created bracelets for Cancer awareness in which we donate to local research centers. Working with these amazing people has been one of the greatest experiences. We’re all in it to spread more awareness and be an uplifting voice to those who are fiercely fighting Cancer!
Hi! My name is Sydni Weidner. I am from Long Island, New York. I am 17 years old. When I heard about the 50in50 project I knew right away it was something that I wanted to be apart of. I love giving back to my community and helping others and this was the perfect opportunity to do so! Knowing that I can help underfunded cancer hospitals makes me extremely happy! For my project I made necklaces and bracelets and sold them to my friends and family! I even sold to people in other states!! I raised lots of money and donated it to Northwell cancer Institute. I am so humbled to be apart of this amazing project and getting to know everyone on the team has been an amazing journey and I can’t wait to continue it!!
